🎸Sub-Bass in FL Studio 🎹
Here we go.. This is the one of my favorite topic. Music, yeah. Before we go, I will introduce you my gear 😎
Please take a note that I'm not really good at another DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like Ableton, Logic Pro, etc etc. Anyway FL Studio is paid software, but you can define your needs. For example, If you are entry level and not really use advance setting of DAW you can choose Fruity edition, and then Producer, Signature, and All plugins edition.

To simplify this, what is sub bass anyway? If you ever hear sound like EDM (Electronic Dance Music), use your headphone or good speaker, you'll hear sound like boommm.. booommm.. seriously. So sub bass is the one element of bass in EDM music.
The another bass element is gritty bass (I don't really know about the name correctly, but many says it as gritty bass). But anyway, as usual gritty bass is placed in higher note than sub bass. To add VST or another plugin, you can follow these step below.
You can add VST by clicking + button in the channel rack. Add Harmless and 3x OSC.
In this article, I'm gonna use Harmless as gritty bass and 3x osc as sub bass. So why do I choose 3x osc as sub bass? Well, 3x osc is great native plugin of FL studio that can handle low frequency perfectly. Seriously, the sound is smooth and no break. So, I think this plugin is fit with the requirement 💪.
As I mentioned before that bass at least have 2 layers, the one is gritty bass and the another one is sub bass, it may be placed in different notes. For instances, If I place gritty bass in A4, so the sub bass will placed in A3. No image No cool.
So, the lower notes produce lower frequencies, so the boom..boom effect will pop up. Thats all, you can try by your self. Oh, I almost forgot about how I setting the Harmless to produce gritty sound.
You can follow the setting above to produce gritty sound. But anyway, sounds is taste. I know this is not perfect and far from perfect, you can use this as your reference, add your recipe and ready to bang-bang boom-boom.
